The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
(Arabic: أبوظبي سباق الجائزة الكبرى) is a Formula One race. It was
announced in early 2007 at the Abu Dhabi F1 Festival in the United Arab
Emirates. The first race took place on November 1, 2009, held at the
Hermann Tilke designed Yas Marina Circuit.
2011 Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is coming to Abu Dhabi

CHARACTERISTICS from Yas Marina Circuit
Abu Dhabi:
Yas Marina provides the sport's first day-to-night race on a lavish, no-expense-spared facility, costing $1 billion to build according to some estimates. Overtaking is extremely difficult, making for processional races. With over 20 corners to each lap, some appearing to be very challenging, the circuit will be quite stop-start and holds many similarities with Valencia and Melbourne. Downforce will generally be on the higher side for drivers, but not at maximum because of the few long straights where speed is important.
