2 time olympian JP LeGuellec and olympian Marc-André Bédard, two athletes with whom I have had the pleasure of working with since 2006, were at the World Cup event in Germany this weekend.
In the team relay, they finished 11th. A very good placing for the canadian team!
During the individual sprint on friday, JP LeGuellec had another top 20 finish, placing 16th. The less experience Marc-André finished 72nd. He would have finished much higher, but he missed 5 of his shots at the shooting range.

On saturday, JP had another good placing during the Mass Start event, placing 20th!
Good job guys!!!

4th World Cup in Germany and Olympic Trials
The new year kicks off in Germany with not only one but two important events for the US Biathlon Team. Tomorrow the 4th World Cup of the season will start in Oberhof. Just three hours east of the Thuringian biathlon hotspot the Olympic Trials will take place on Thursday in Altenberg, followed by two IBU-Cup races on the weekend.
So right now the best US biathletes gathered in two different spots of Germany overcome their upcoming hurdles. Tim Burke will start in the yellow bib of the World Cup leader in Saturday's sprint race in Oberhof. As known from previous World Cups in Oberhof there will be more than 20.000 spectators following that historic event. Joining Burke will be Jeremy Teela, Jay Hakkinen and Haley Johnson. All four of them pre-qualified for the Olympic Wintergames in Vancouver already.
